The Theatre combines the convenience of tiered and gallery seating, with state-of-the-art sound, lighting, and presentation equipment. Then, in true Downing College style, guests who walk through our curtains will become immersed in a sea of classical Greek architecture and bespoke Italian leather seating.
OVERVIEW
We’re firm in the belief that accessibility should be the norm. And so, guests can expect both stairway and lift access to all floors, plus a large, ground-floor reception room, for your peace of mind. In addition, you’ll find a 150-seat auditorium, two small meeting rooms, and everything you’ll need for memorable conferences, presentations, and hospitality events.

Downing College recognises the importance of supportive, customer-focused teams and high quality audio and visual equipment for successful events. To accompany our Howard Theatre event space, we offer a full streaming and filming package to allow guests to attend and participate virtually. Additional charges may apply depending on the requirements for the event.
